fuel pump relay part no. - no match?
 

The fuel pump relay in my 87 300e is part number 002 545 52 05

I have searched for this on the parts website and don't come up w/ the same part number. It matches to a KAE fuel pump relay w/ 1 more pin than mine has at part no. 3.301.300 (a relay i just snagged from a junkyard).

Would this also be interchangeable with the same number of pins and part no. 003 545 00 05? These non-matching part numbers are making me crazy.

Try e-bay and type in make and year, fuel relay. then just look at the picture and see if it has the same #. It may not be the most technical answer, but I have tryed it and it works.

I had a similar problem. But it involved the kickdown relay. My '84 SEC has a relay in the fuze box that says Kickdown right on the side. And since my kickdown feature has stopped working, I wanted to buy a kickdown relay. So when I searched my usual parts house suppliers with my car info, I see a picture of a "fuel pump relay w/ kickdown". I thought, oh, so that's where my fuel pump relay is. Integrated right there with the kickdown relay.
Turns out my kickdown problem is not relay related.
But I got a spare (found at the junk yard for $2.00). OOOOOyahhhh!
