What is the best code reader/scanner for MB?

I'm looking to buy a code reader/scanner for MB and most of the cars. Please don't laugh on me but I need the best one that covers most of the cars/ and areas including the erase of the codes. Thank you

Note: Not only for my cars. Let me say for a workshop
