does the 86 420sel have an STV POA valve? Also should the recirculation door stay closed when the temp wheel is in the blue area even when the recirculation button is off? I have found that If I turn on the a/c to colder temps the door won't open at all whether I hit the recirc button or not. Now If i turn the a/c on with the wheel in the white area the button for the a/c works until I turn it into the blue. If I turn it into the white are, I cannot open the recirc door. Does this sound right?

the recirc door if open will kill refrigeration capacity by a good 10deg at 90degf.i am not sure of the exact programming but when a/c is on in texas summer the fresh air door should be closed or the vent temps will not come down.i think the recirc button was designed for use when travelling through an area with offensive odours or a west texas dust storm.
