Key will not turn had to leave car on parking lot,this is a w-140 body is this a diy or will i have to bend over at mb dealer?

Try pulling on the steering wheel one way or the other while you attempt to turn the key.

If the steering column lock is in a bind, you can't turn the key without releasing the tension on the lock pin.

Did all the above,went home and got another key, even tried rocking the car back and forth to no avail, mb shop said bring car and 800.00 to 1000.00 wbrian63 the tumblers seem to be broke.i had it towed home monday i need to get info on changing switch.

Ok so i am slow,i installed new switch and car starts and runs but key is difficult to get into switch and buzzer goes off when door is open when switch is off with key removed where did i go wrong? all is well except these things,could park cable insalled with key off cause this?
