steering wheel question

the car is clean, but when i sit in it, the steering wheel is uneven. I am not talking about alignment of the wheel/road/steering, but the steering wheel in relation to the dash...

It looks and feels like the steering wheel is closer to the dash on the left side(9 o'clock) and the right side(3 o'clock) is a bit further.

Im just curious if any one else has this "problem."

I do not think the car is affected in any way...

Mine has a similar offset - don't recall which way it cants, but it does. Always seemed odd to me, but I've never had operational issues that I could attribute to it's placement.

Interesting question that I've considered asking myself a time or two.

Sometimes this is caused by airbag deployment bending the steering shaft and a sure sign of possable collision.
