Someone told me to get my creak to stop coming from my lower control arm bushing I should get some 100% silicone and put it just on the exterior of the joint where the rubber is deteriorated. Is this smart? I have tried lubrication but then I was told that it just attracts more dirt and pebbles and so then I spray washed the joint but it still creaks especially after being on the highway. What is the best thing to do until I can have it replaced? Thanks, Scott

Turn up the Stereo..
heheThen you wont hear it at all. But seriously, Any kind of lube will attract more dirt to it. You should probabaly just deal with it until you can get it changed out. I'm not a tech though, so I'm just expressing my opinion for ya. Alon

If the joint is tight, the silicone lube is a dry lube, and might get the job done without attracting dirt. If the joint is not tight, replace the joint.
Have a great day, |
