96 E 320 hot start/ idle problem

After searching i cannot seem to find a similar problem, cold starts are fine but once hot will sometimes start ok but then 60% of the time will nearly stall before coming up to idle speed and sometime stall, if you catch it with the accelerator it will run , once idling everything is ok.
Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Horse.

1. Check the fuelpressure regulator, to see if it is leaking.
2. Do a fuelpressure leakdown test on the fuelrail, to see if it is holding pressure.
Both of these may be out of your scope.
May have to pay a few bucks and have somebody do it for you.
