W126 Rear External Door Handle Assembly Removal
 

Are there instructions for this anywhere?

The rear passenger door does open from the outside but not normally. It pulls straight out but there is no sound of the internal mechanism being part of the process as with the other handles.

I want to replace the door handle assembly from the parts car while the door panel is off when I replace the door check.

Remove the phillips at the end of the door, that will allow the handle to slide forward & come out.

Thanks - I thought it would be an ordeal.
Hopefully it's just a faulty handle mechanism that's causing it to pull out without catching anything.
