Shock life on a 140

I have to replace the front springs on my ' 99 S420 since the passenger side one has a break in it. Does anyone know the average life of shock absorbers on these things? My car has 102 K miles.

Thanks!
Dave

If I were to do springs I would do shocks, my 92 500 SEL has close to 100,000 and have no issues with them.
I assume you are doing both, springs have a settling in factor, you could get two different heights

If I remember correctly the 420 is conventional all around, no? If that's the case they are finished. Even the best shock produced is a shadow of it's former self by 100K. If you're running hydraulic bits they're typically fine until they start to leak.
