190E Ashtray/lighter Removal

I'm attempting to redo the center console on one of my 190E's. How do I remove the ashtray/lighter holder? The ashtray itself is out and I don't see any screws to remove. Thanks in advance!

This is how it is done on a 1985 190E. Not sure if it is similar on newer models. There should be two screws on the bottom corners of the ashtray after it has been extended. (above where the ashtray and cigarteete ligther are). They are going up into the console. Extend the ashtray/cigartette lighter tray, and look at the front right and front left corners. Should have two phillips screws. However, this does not need to be removed to remove the center console. Remove the two screws under the center vents and a screw on the bottom corner of the entire center console and you should be able to remove the whole thing.

I am trying to remove my console to fix my a/c drain hose. Please elaborate on the screw located at "bottom corner of the entire center console". Where is this screw exactly? what corner?

I tried to follow Haynes manual and it apparently is documenting the console of a 190-16v which is nothing like my '92 190e.

thanks.
