92 500sel wont run
I am a mechanic and recently got in a 92 500sel with the 119.070 motor I believe. When the vehicle came in the part the rotor bolts to inside the dristributor had come off the cam gear sheared off the little pin and absolutly destroyed the pass side distributor. I installed a new gear and all the parts of the distributor and the car will not run. I was wandering if anyone could give me any insight onto what to look for. Its not everyday I work on cars like this and the information on our comupters at work is slim at best. Thanks Evan

Evan, I'd check compression first. Look through this thread on German 140 forum.
http://community.forenshop.net/forums/index.php?mforum=W140&showtopic=3378 Run Google translator. The car had both distributor rotors loose and see what happened to the block and pistons. Hope you don't have this bad problem with you engine. Mike |

thanks for the reply I checked compression on all cylinders and had above 150psi on all of them. I'm getting fuel and spark on all cylinders and I believe I have the plug wires in the right spot but still the car will not run.
