1999 E320 A/C issue
I have a 1999 E320 RWD. When the A/C is turned on the air blows cold for about 2 - 4 minutes and then it seems that the compressor cuts out and blows warm air. When the car is shutoff and left for 15 - 20 min. the A/C blows cold again. The following are the readings from the car. I am in Canada so the readings are in Celsius?
EC light is not stuck on. Sensor values: 1 - 25 2 - 26 3 - 24 4 - 24 5 - 64 6 - 72 7 - 09 8 - 41 the error codes are B1227(outside temp), B1234(Sun Sensor). Does this mean the both sensors are malfunctioning or is there a cause and effect happeniing here? Any help in identifying the actual issue would be greatly appreciated. |
The actual issue is indicated at #5. You have a bad evaporator temperature sensor.

Along with that make sure your AUX fans are turning, if not the refrigerant pressure could be causing the AC compressor to turn off
