Ebay spring compressor safe to use?????
 

I desperately need to replace rear springs on my W203 - both are broken :-(((
Tried to rent the compressor with no luck. Due to prohibitively expensive better-quality tools (Baum = $749, Klann = $890), I am considering buying ebay copy of this compressor, can be had for $200 on ebay.
Are they any good, especially in regard to safety??? Klann has a safety margin of 5 or so - max load 25,000N, breaking point 120,000N. Anybody knows how are the ebay compressors faring????

I finally bought one, the ebay version, about $250. Got it, have used it 4 times, I trust it. Came with a great blow molded palstic storage case too, I expected a cardboard box. It might not be the quality of the $1200 one from MB, but I felt it was of good quality for home use and I felt it was safe all 4 times I used it. No problems. Just what ever you do, dont try to do it with the wrong tools or without any tool at all. That is dangerous and will drive you crazy trying to get it done. Even the purists on the forum that refuse to use anything other than the $1200 MB tool, should be able to admit that using the lower quality tool is better than nothing or trying to use a spring compressor tool for an American car that is not designed for the MB. They WILL get you hurt, they dont fit our cars. Just be safe and take your time.
