I have discovered a new problem with the passenger side seat. Everything works great but the front tilt is not working (stuck all the way down). Should I look into replacing the controls (in the door), or is there a separate motor for front tilt vs back tilt?

You may have a broken or disconnected cable between the motor and the gear box of the lift mechanism.

put the seat back all the way in all 10 positions. that will reset it. then try.

YES, separate motors for front and rear tilt! Check the pins at the motor for power when pushing the control button...

Seat Problem Insert #2

Spent yesterday taking apart seat to become familiar with the seat operation and what the components looked like.

For you golfers out there, it looks like a golf ball (yellow flying Lady!) had got stuck in the front seat tilt area and I think it burned out one direction of the motor!!!

I got the seat out and start to fiddle with the motors. The front seat tilt motor will run only one way (down). The power is running fine to the seat motor. The gear box is fine and no broken teeth. The cable is connect OK and the disconnected motor only runs in one direction. How difficult is it to replace motor if that is the problem, or do I need to replace switch also?
