'92 300E 4Matic - slight 'initial stumble' at cold-start

Greetings folks!

Just got dad-in-law into an uuuuuuuuber schweeeeet black / grey on Parchment, 81k, one Greenwich owner. Car's a timecapsule, I really dig it.

Anywho, was hoping the collective wisdom here might shed some insight?

Car has the slightest "skip" when you go to cold-start it - ALMOST like a car where the timing's off by a tooth or something. It turns over, skips a quick second, then starts PERFECTLY. Car runs PERFECTLY otherwise.

As the car's a week old to us and I have no records I don't know what's been done so figure a good "going through" is coming - fuel filter, 02, air filter, etc. But, our old '93 2.8 had (has) that notorious "surging" when you are in gear with the foot on the brake, and my inlaws' mirror '93 2.8 did the same thing (and worse) - things those twincams are ALL known for.

Sssooooo... my question here is: do the 3.2's have some "secret handshake" thingy like the 2.8's did to remedy "this"?

Just querious. TIA! Any tips as always appreciated! Back to slumin' it in the Audidoodi world!
