Oil pan drain plug
Can anyone tell me what metric size the oil pan drain plug is on a 1993 190E 2.6 please.
I am thinking it is a 12mm - 1.5 but I am not sure. |
Can't remember, it's either 12 mm x 1.5, or 14 mm x 1.5.

Are you talking thread size or hex size ? Most Benz drain plugs take a 13mm wrench.

I think he's looking for the thread size. Here you go ( at the top above the picture): http://catalog.worldpac.com/mercedesshop/sophio/wizard.jsp?partner=mercedesshop&clientid=catalog.mercedesshop&baseurl=http://catalog.peachparts.com/&cookieid=1XC0ZKQX926B14EW2I&year=1993&make=MB&model=190-E-005&category=A&part=Oil+Drain+Plug |
thank you
Yep, thats it. I needed the thread size. I am working with a guy on converting his gauges to white face and installing 16v center gauges in his 1993 190e 2.6. I needed to know which sensor to order. We are replacing the oil drain plug with the sensor, since we dont drain oil, we suck it out through the filler tube. Sensor for 16v oil temp gauge comes in correct metric threads, but I did nt remember which thread it was and car is not here.
Thanks. i'l order the VDO sender that is 14mm - 1.5 pitch and it will mount right in place of the drain plug. The oil temp gauge will funtion perfectly. Thanks |
