OK, I need to figure out a way to get an old Benz back to Ohio from Hantsport, NS. It's a '59 180 sedan and I have been longing for one for a while and have finally located one---of course it just HAS to be far away! :(

Mapquest.com gave me a figure of about 1,200 miles and 24 hours driving time. Looks like a ferryboat ride for 50 miles is part of the trip. I can arrange to borrow a friend's F-350 diesel and trailer but I am thinking it might be wise to at least get the car commercially shipped to Maine. I would definitely pick it up there. Anybody in NS with a trailer willing to go scoop it for me for a generous reward?!?!

Also, what's the deal with transferring a Canadian title to the US? Any help there would also be appreciated.

It isn't that big a deal to drive up. My father lives in near Halifax. I typically make it a two day drive from Virginia. 650 miles to Boston and the next day Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I've taken the Ferry from Maine across to Yarmouth but it is an overnight trip. If you haven't been to NS it is BEAUTIFUL with over 4300 miles of rocky coast not to mention the Bay of Fundy with 35 to 51 foot changes between hi and lo tides.
