300E factory camshaft differences?

is there any factory cam used in the M103 engine that is better for power than others? I currently have three to chose from, my original and those on the rebuilt heads on the bench (not there to pull the numbers at the moment). I'm aware that the manual trans cars had slightly different timing on the intakes. Or, alternatively, would the power difference be so small as not to be noticed? My stock USA 1987 300E (without factory EGR) runs rather well, but while its apart...:D Thanks!

I've not tried this, but heard it a few times: Swapping the M103 camshaft 180 degrees will shift the torque curve to provide slightly more torque at lower rpm. It would be great if someone could confirm or bust this engine myth.

Moving a camshaft 180 degrees puts it in the same postion as it was relative to TDC.

I don't where know where the intake lobe centerline is on a factory installed camshaft, not having degreed one, but advancing it a few degrees should improve low rpm power.
