C32 oil change

I been searchingr from forums to another forums and Ive noticed that every c32 owner is not sure if they have the right amount of oil in their cars. The only way to find out is through the instrument panel. However on the invoices you get from the dealer after each service you will find different amount of oils being put in. I think the best way to check this is to get a dip stick. Now the question is which dipstick to get, from which car? I would assume SLK32, is this right? SLk32 came with a dip stick part number 112 010 03 72 (is this the right part number?).

Click Buy Parts above and "buy the one made for your year and model" or go to the dealer and get it. Dont purchase one from another model as it may well be different.

The quant of oil needed for a oil and filter change is in your owners manual.

I understood that.

Is it an 2002-2004 C32 AMG?

If so, its a 112.961 engine, the C320 of that era is a 112.940 and the CLK320 a 112.946. All different. They may use the same dip stick, they MAY not.....I am not certain, but if in fact your tube is empty, the dipstick is more than likely a factory "tool" like the trans dipstick. As such, it is not designed to be left in place but to only be used when needed and then put back in the tool box.

Call Phil on Monday. He'll look it up for you.

What other kind are there?

M-B's 112 010 03 72 is applicable for all '98 and later 112 V6s. MSRP is ~$13.50
