300 sel motor mount

Has any one seen this happen to the motor mount this is the third mount
to do this first two were after market this is oem it lasted about 2 weeks
the other's about 1 hour they collaps ant let the exhaust pipes rest on the cross member and makes noise inside the cars and drives me nuts

Check if you are having a rough idle problem.

Just a guess, but are you sure you're getting the left motor mount on the left and the right on the right?

There should be a heat shield on top of the mount:

On the picture of your mount it is missing. Overheating may lead to premature failing.

as deanyel said there is a right and left mount from memory and that heat shield needs to be there.

Thanks for the replies i checked epc parts an MB the mounts are the same
for the left or right and epc star tek shows a little thing called (screening plate) it doesn't look like much of a heat shield

You did something wrong because EPC shows it as two different parts, left and right, with two different part numbers. A heat shield is a heat shield even if it doesn't look like much. You have two possible causes for the premature failure.
