Banging Noise Rt Rear C280

Hello Guys (and gals),

Purchased a 99 C280 from my sister. Love it. Car has about 84K and has been excellent.

Made a left turn a couple of days ago and it sounded like something in the trunk hit up against the right side. Later when driving the car I found that a very hard thumping noise happens whenever the car is turned to the left. Sound appers to be coming from the rear right side. It's a hard thump sound followed by what sounds like somthing swinging. Got a feeling it might be bad$$$.

I plan on jacking the car up in the rear to look for anything obvious (I did just have new tires put on).

If anyone has any ideas what this might be and how to check, I would be most appreciative.
