spark plug connector
I am looking forward to changing my spark plugs this weekend. Fastlane only lists one plug for my 95 E320 so that will be easy. Since I'll be in there anyway I was going to also change the 3 spark plug connectors as these are apparently prone to failure.
There are 3 different ones listed. Two of these look quite similay and the third slightly different. How do I know which is preferred or which to order? Thanks! |
There's really nothing to changing the wires and connectors. I bought the set from the dealer and it included 3 wires and 2 connectors if I remember correctly. I think the M104 has two coil packs. I also used Bosch plugs that the dealer sold me. My car was a '94 E320 which I sold and bought a '99 S420. The wires/connectors on my car were in terrible shape though.

Sorry, I should have read your post more thoroughly. The 104's have connectors on the coil packs and wires that connect to the packs for the other plugs (maybe 3 of each type). Anyway, they should come as a complete set.

Three coils on 104 Waste Spark system. They come seperate, so get 3 connectors. |
Thanks!
Thanks guys, I'll assume the more expensive ones are better. The car is running OK (idle could be a little smoother) it seems like good preventive maintenence.
