Angry Display Malfuntion

I currently own a 2001 MB C320 4dr sedan. I love the car however I have 2 major problems that refuse to go away.
1) The battery drains if the car is not driven in 8-10hrs. What could be the cause?

2) After getting a jump from my roadside assist, I found out that my wipers, turn signal, fuel gauge, remote trunk release, and my alarm don't work. The message displayed says Display Malfunction with a zigzag arrow on it. I checked the fuses and everything is o.k. Does anybody know a remedy or fix for these problems. It is pain driving without this things. The dealer wants an arm and a leg to diagnose. Help????

Please send solutions to broker20s@gmail.com

I fixed the problem.

I fixed it. I had to pull all fuses out and reinsert them. Next I disconnected the battery and reconnected after about a minute. The computer reset all functions. I guess I got lucky and did not have to pay those nasty dealer diagnostic fees which was minimum of $186.00.
Needless to say my car is back to normal. Lessons learned, 1) ALways call mercedes for a jump, it is free and unlimited. 2) Never allow a jump box or other connections straight to the battery posts. It screws the system up.
