Hey all,

I just got back from having dinner with friends, when I realized that all 4 windows stopped working. Luckily in the "up" position. I checked the fuses which appear (In the dark at 12AM) to be ok, and I know that each fuse only runs two windows. Is there a relay that affects all 4? Has anyone run into this problem? Would really appreciate anyones advice

Jason M.

I would change both fuses. There can be hairline cracks undetectable to the naked eye... but seems weird that they would both quit at the same time.
Check and see if you can still roll up/down the windows with the key in the door to make sure the convenience relay is still alright. Though I think that the window switches and relay run separately.

What year is the car?
There is a window module under the rear seat (left side).
Did you notice anything else not working? Double check all of the fuses not just the two for the windows.

On the 1986-89 cars there is a relay in the rear of the fuse box(position F) that powers-up both window fuses. As vinamg said the 1990 & later have a comfort window/sunroof ECU under the rear seat.

Jason,
I had a similar problem awhile back....both front windows quit at the same time. This makes as little sense as your situation due to the way they are wired (fused). I'm not going to tell you how to fix it because I was unable to find the problem. However, the problem went away by itself in a couple of weeks. These cars sometimes heal themselves.
Amazing cars!!!!!
