88 300sel fuel pump realy?...

driving an 88 300sel, randomly will die. dosent seem to matter the temp, conditions, anything. sometimes will start in about 5-6 secs, sometimes seem to take 1 min or so. can be idling or freeway driving. left it in gear/on coming down Mt. Hood, draging the engine at about 2k rpm, and after about 6 secs it caught and kept going. Am thinking it is the fuel pump relay, but am having hard time finding it. Any ideas if it might be something else? Any help on exactly where the relay is located?

N16/4 is at the left side of componet compartment inbetween the OVP Relay and the A/C Compressor Control Unit.

Hope This Helps!

thanks

thanks for the information. I feel kind of bad as i was able to search through the Links by parts section, and find most all of the information i was looking for. should have done more of that before i posted. Thanks to mercedesshop too, this seems to be an invaluable asset for a mercedes owner!
