210 trans question

I have a 97 E420 with a 722.625 that went bad. I found a used 722.605 for a decent price, will it work in my car. Also what are the differences?
thank you for any infos.

Someone will probably be able to shed more light on this than I but the last numbers refer to the torque capacity of the tranny. Yours, with a 420 engine needs a higher torque model. I would think you'd want to go with the same or higher rated tranny than the .625 and I believe the .605 is from the Kompressor 4 cylinder models so you would not want to use one of them.

The 722.605 is from a M104 engine car & the bell housing is different.

You need a 722.6 trans from a M119 V-8 car.
