No Spark On A 86 300e
Hi Im Having A Promblem On My 86 300 E 6cyl, Fuel Injection, I Have No Spark. What Happened Was I Had To Weld Something On The Car And I Didnt Disconnect The Battery. Stupid Me. I Checked The Coil And It Has Power But It Isnt Sending The Spark To The Distributor. I Did Check Number 4 And 5 Pins And Had Power Also. Need Help Im Losing My Mind. Thanks Dave

The ignition module(EZL) provides the dwell signal to the coil on the NEGATIVE side.
For the EZL to provide that signal it needs a reference signal from the crank sensor & power from the ignition switch & a good ground. |
Okay So If I Have Power To The 4 And 5 Pins When The Key Is In The On Position Does That Elimanate The Power From The Ingition Idea? If Not Where Do I Check For Power From The Ingition Side? Also How Would I Check To See If I Have Power From The Crank Sensor? Where Is That Located? Im Almost Positive I Have A Good Ground. Thanks Dave
