1997 S-500 (W140) Pre-Purchase Thoughts

I am considering buying a 1997 S-500 with 37,000 miles on it.
One owner. Texas car.
What are pitfalls if any with these cars?
They are asking $19,900 for it....which I admit is higher than "market" but with so few miles.......Car is in PERFECT condition.
Any input/things to look for would be appreciated.
Also, there is an aftermarket warranty available for $2,000.....
THANKS!

PPI for trans adaptations.
Also a leak check for A/C leakage.

The later W140 s-class are MOSTLY very good cars, 2 exceptions noted

Guessing PPI = Pre-Purchase Inspection?
What type of trans adaptations?
Appreciate it!
thanks

There are shift time adaptations in the live data section of the trans computer.

There are maximun amounts that can suggest the TRUE condition of the trans!

PPI is correct.

THANKS! Where should the values be for a car with 37,000 miles on it?
Have not encounted adaptations before....

By using a "dedicated" Mb scanner & reading live data from trans computer
