Weird Motion W124 M102.963 124021

Hi all,

It happens irregularly. When travelling at highway speeds and letting off throttle the car will do this:

1) Like someone(invisible) pressing the throttle enough to keep going and NOT accelerate. And then let go totally to decelerate.

2) Again as per above

3) Again as per above ( Optional)

It will do this with 1 second and then accelerate even when I have ease off the throttle totally. I will have to hit the brakes likely to control the additional force forward.

What could have happened?

Thanks!!!

So in summary, the car feels like rocking 2-3 times before settling into a stable state which is accelerate.

1) I have check the throttle micro switch to ensure full contact with a click sound.

2) I have ensure MAFS to be clean and non-sticky with the help of Carb cleaner.

3) I have ensure all vaccum hoses are connected and non has cracked.

4) I don't really know how to check the transmission and I don't have a 2 ton jack.

5) OVP and all fuses checked and replaced. O2 connection under driver seat has been cleaned and corrosion free.

6) ECU not checked and I have no idea how to check it.

Thanks!!!

Between the AFM and the throttle body is a rubber boot. Its very hard to see, sometimes this boot is cracked and causes hesitation under acceleration.

Hi,

Is it the rubber hose that goes under the engine bay FROM the ICV?

That is the one I could'nt find where the other end goes.
