560SEL suspension ride
 

for a few weeks i've had stuff in my trunk that caused the suspension system to raise the car. it rode really nice and smooth. i emptied the trunk of all the stuff. now the car rides much harsher. there isn't much travel downward as if the car suspension is close to the bottom, but the height is the same

i replaced air cells a few months ago, just so you know.

it makes me think that the suspension rides better as it's filled up with fluid

could it be that only a little fluid in the suspension would make the ride harsher?
