560 waterpump bolt torque value
I am in the middle of a water pump change,, I can not find my manual CD after a move. Does any one have the torque value for the 8x1.25 bolts that hold the pump housing into the block? Or if you have a manual look it up real quick and send me an e-mail ro reply to this post.
Thanks John |

Back to gether all is good
Thanks to all especially Strife who send me the e-mail with the values. Its back together. I just moved and could not find my CD. OH by the way the shaft is in the low pressure section, so a slow leak with not leak with the engine running, If you loosen the pressure cap. I made it home 497 miles with no loss of cooling fluid.
On the 560 you do have to remove the harmonic balancer even if you have the offset 13 mm wrench, the bolt is longer than the clearance. I just loosened everything and removed all the belts and large hoses. Left the radiator in, but covered it with cardboard. Came out easy enough I was putting it back together when I could not find the torque, It took about 10 Hours total, with only the notes from this site for guidance, but it went fine it is a 5 of 10 for difficult. Thanks to all. |
