help... w210 rearview mirror on w124
 
just got interior mirror from w210 year 2001 with auto dimming, and i don't know which wires that needed, there are 7 wires on it.....
so. which wire for Ground(-) and 12V(+).
i guess for ground is a brown color......
12V(+).....????

i have destroyed w210 interior mirror for 2 times, hopefully this wont be the 3rd time.......:(:(:(:(:(

Help me please.........

What are the options on the mirror? Wire colors? Gotta pic with the case open.

2phast has done a swap of his W124 mirror with that of one from a W203, see his web site interior mods.

Unfortunitly the w203 is different from the W140. In fact it appears the W140 had changes in the late model mirrors. Here is the wiring diagram for a 1997 Mercedes-Benz S420 Not sure if it's gonna match the 2001.

Some of the wires will be for the door mirror. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

As for the power wires, if the mirror contains a PCB then the rails should be wired to the power supply wires.

i've seen this link (www.2phast.com)... most ppl say the blue/grey is connected to +12, but i'm still not sure....

yes, there is a blue / grey color...... for the wire... should i give it try????:confused::confused::confused::confused:

it has no options... just auto dimming,
pic with the case open??? don't think so, it's fragile.... don't wanna destroy the mirror... for the 3rd time :eek::eek::eek:

ehmmm thanks for pdf files... but still don't get it, where the wire should be connected..... can u just let me know??? all i need just to activate the auto dimming
