2003 CLK55 AMG Glove Box does not stay closed
 

Guys,
The glove box in my CLK55 AMG does not stay closed. I called the dealership to see if I could replace the latch but was told that I would have to replace the entire glove box door and it would cost $315.00 for the part.

Is there a way to just replace the latch? If so where could I get the part and instructions on how to install it? If I have to replace the glove box door is there a place I can get instructions on how to do it myself and where can I get it for less than at the dealership?

that an AMG car would use a different glove box than a non-AMG car. I'd call a salvage place specializing in Mercedes and see what they have. I think there is one around Washington DC. Do a search on this forum for info as well as how to take out entire box if needed.
