Purge valve(regeneration valve) location
 

I've read it should be near the windshield washer tank but can't seem to locate it on my 89 300E. I spent my lunch time with a flashlight and could see nothing that resemble the pictures. Am I looking at the passenger side near the headlights or should I be looking near the firewall? Anyone with a photo would be super.

I imagine the other gas tank vent is located on the tank or at least inline near the tank.

That car isn't equipped with a purge valve!
