2002 e320 what oil what filter?
 

I just got a 2002 e320 and am getting ready to change the oil and filter and would like to know the suggested oil and filter?
I believe the oil of choice appears to be mobil1 syn 0w40 European formula.
but when I try to find a choice on the filter I get confused,
I have read mann, heast, wix, etc, etc, made in turkey, not made in Mexico, made in bulgaria, etc.
All paper, fleece, no sticks, twigs, cotton string, etc.
Does anyone have a real recommendation, something that I can go to the store and buy 6 or 12 of, since I plan on having this car for awhile.
Also what is the preferred oil change interval, Is it really 10k miles.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can't go wrong with Mobil 1 0W40.
As far as the filters go, just click above on Fastlane and you will get exactly what you're looking for.
Changing oil every 10 k miles on that car, using the above mentioned parts, will do the trick. ;)

Your car doesn't have a bypass filter, those threads don't apply to you.


Go to your local MB dealer's parts counter, and ask for an oil filter.
