CLK 230 K - Boot lid does not open
 

Dear All,

I have a CLK 230 K Coupe - 1999.

PROBLEM:-

The rear boot lid has stopped opening electronically (The red indicator light inside the car - is constantly on - indicating that the boot is open).

The only way to open the boot is manually with the key.

SOLUTION:-

??????

Please can someone help.

Open the " Boot " ( we call it a trunk), push the switch down with your finger and see if the light goes off.
If it does, the switch may need adjusting.
If it does not, you may have to replace the switch.
