Here's Good One! 1989 300E!
There was a large flashlight underneath my driver's seat. When the seat was lowered for a taller driver, the seat lowered all the way on one side but could not on the other side due to the obstruction. The seat was tilted.
Now when raising the seat, only one side will go up while the other side doesn't and the seat is tilted unless it is lowered all the way to the floor. Doesn't even look like I can get to the bolts to take the seat out for an inspection! Any suggestions? |

Here's a Good One!
Problem fixed!
For those whoever may have the same problem with the electric seat tilted to one side: 1. Send the seat all the way to the front in the highest seat position. 2. There are two devices (left and right) at the back on the seat assembly that control the rear height of the seat. 3. Open up the device that is out of adjustment and take out and plastic gear. This will allow the worm gear to come out too. Once this is done you can readjust the seat height to a level position! You don't even have to take out the seat! Whew! Hope you don't need to worry about it! |
