Got myself a 95 C140 and have some questions

I finally bite the bullet and got myself a 95 S500 coupe. Man, what a luxuray vehicle. I am learning to drive it both smoothly and agressively. Like all used vehicle, the car need some minor tweaking and fixing. I got some questions and hope to get answers here.

Problem with the vehicle:
Radio Antenna not going up. Look like the motor is bad. Maybe Jim F's site on it is the fix.

SRS light stay on for a few minutes after I start the car. The mechanic told me it is the driver's seat belt buckle sensor need replacement. Is this a hard job?

The trunk close assist works, but I don't have close assist in either of the the door. Are they both broken, just didn't have that option?

I am also getting wind noise from the driver window. Are there any reseal kit for the door?

One of the headlamp wiper is not working, Is the motor bad? Is this a easy fix too?

The headliner is sagging in the back. Any easy fix here?

Thanks for your comment.

Congrats on the big coupe. At just 73k there are lots of miles left in her.

If it were me, does the antenna go up and down partway at least? If yes, I would buy a new antenna mast and grommet and install them, that took care of my problem about a week or so ago.

Ron at www.Germanstar.net got them for me for about $25 or so, and they were at the door the next day....

Sometimes the door glass can be readjusted if the wind noise is bothering you. I never heard of a reseal kit, there might be one...

Your rear headliner is going exactly where all of them go, in the S class coupes. I can't think of anything but a new headliner job.

Shop that one carefully, get the original colors and material if you can. And be CAREFUL who you choose. Some reupholsterers don't know what they are doing. Leave those idiots to their chopped and channeled '32 Fords and '57 Chevies. Incompetent ones will wreeck your sunroof in the process and put you in a world of hurt. Don't ask how I know this.

The SRS light could mean trouble with the SRS airbag contact rings in your steering wheel.

The antenna doesn't move at all. it probably need a new motor.

i might try to adjust the windows to eliminate the wind noise.

I might have to spend big bucks on the headliner if I want to get it right.

As for the SRS, I was told it is the driver seat buckle sensor, and I am not hoping on the steering wheel.

I also found out my passenger door close assist works. Something is wrong with my driver side, i will have to do some troublshooting on it.

The rear headrests are not working either. The driver side rear headrest doesn't respond at all, and the passenger side makes clicking sound as it reach its position. Are the driven by vacuum or electrical?

The wind noise might be due to the fact that the quarter and door glass are not returning to the fully closed position, in light of the fact that the door closer is not working.

On a 1995 W140 the antenna only works with the factory PHONE!

The seat belt buckle is the only item in the SRS system that allows the lamp to stay on 2 minutes. NO brushes on the steering wheel for SRS! car uses a contact spiral (clockspring) instead.

Try pulling fuse #9 in the trunk for 5-6 seconds & see if the closing assist works on the doors.
