84-500SEL-no interior lights fuse #15 registering 80 amps
It should register 8 amps, and everytime I try to replace it , the fuse comes flying back out with a spark. Would the "Overload Relay" need to be replaced? I am trying to find out where to look next as to why the fuse 15 for the interior lighting, antenna control, dash lights; is allowing 80 amps to come through, when it should just be 8?

You must have a short in one of the wires fed by this fuse. You would need to disconnect all wires from the load side of the fuse and check each one of them for the short to the car body. Do you have a multimeter? Just wondering how did you measure 80Amps?

If that circuit is drawing 80A then just look for the smoke. The wireing for that system can't handle 80A. I will look today and see what is on that circuit but I know that there are a lot of lights, etc on it.
