1995 E320 Wagon – Move that Valve!

What does it mean or what do I have to check if moving the suspension valve arm manually does NOT make the car raise or lower while running?

The car has new accumulators and proper level of oil in reservoir. New suspension valve?

There is a bleed screw in the top of the controller.

If I remember correctly, the test procedure in the manual for the system at 133 bar and requires an overnight test to check for leak down.

I was under the impression that due to the high pressures involved it wasnt a DIY test procedure. Yet when I spoke to the service writer at a prominent Mercedes shop here in ATL he said that there was no test that they perform to diagnose the problem. So that pretty much leaves me at the stage of just thowing money at the problem, which means I just gotta buy a new valve.

I once thought my controlled was bad. I checked with 3 suppliers and all said they rarely sold one. I had to bleed mine a couple of times before I felt all the air was purged.

I can email you the pages from the CD repair manual. The challenge might be finding the tester. Hopefully you used the correct "febi 2615" Hydraluic Fluid.
