88 300e hard start when warm

car will start fine when cold but idle lopes a little


just changed ovp and cap and rotor


car will start after it sits for an hour or so and cools off, can drive for 15 minutes or so after a cold start and then stalls out and will not restart until it sits for an hour or so


trying to help a friend get back on the road to visit his folks for thanksgiving

please help

any ideas to throw out there....coolant temp sensor? other sensors? anything?

Change the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS). I did this and ALL of my problems went away!

Could be the Fuel Accumulator

Hi neumann,

I have seen the exact symptom on a friend's 190E. It just fail to start on a warm engine.
Upon checking we found the Fuel Accumulator Unit being faulty. It's located near the fuel pump and fuel filter.
You might wanna check that...
