blown fuses
 

i have an 1989 190E 2.6 L I keep blowing several fuses. most notably #14 and #9. both fuses control rear lights- brake/tail/backup and instrument cluster. i'm assuming theres a short somewhere, but would it be more commen in the lights or in the instrument cluster ? and any suggestions on where to start ?

I would guess taillamps... ??

i disconnected all the taillamps, but as soon as you touch the brake pedal the fuse blows. i've read on some other sites that the fuse block itself might be bad, is this common in MB'S ? this is my first one.
