My car hasn't been heating up that well the last couple weeks. It's been about 30-40 degrees outside and the heat has just been blowing warm, but not hot. The coolant reservoir is full, and the car is not overheating. I can only think that I have a thermostat stuck in an open position. Can someone verify for me that there isn't anything else I should check before ordering a new thermostat? Thanks for your help. Have a great Thanksgiving weekend. -Joe

alot of times the therm actually break. they get cocked sidewase. just replace it and you should be fine.

sure would help to know what temp the engine is running at before opening the system up.

Very easy repair-take off 3 bolts. O ring comes with the thermostat. If you move fast you will spill little fluid. Make sure you put the thermostat in the right way.
My thermostat was broken open. It was nice to have heat.

The engine should run around 87-90*C, assuming the temp gauge is pretty accurate. About midway up the temp scale.

if you are still reading the thread you started,try disconnecting the 2 wire female connector to the monovalve,if you now get heat then it would tell me the problem is in the control network.
