Monday of this week I took my 86 300SDL to a mechanic (MB only) and had a new timing chain installed purely as a preventive measure because I have heard that they should be changed at about 175K. My car has almost 160K. After getting the car back, on the way home I noticed the oil pressure was unusually low when sitting at a stop light. On accelerating away from the stop the pressure went to 0 then gradually went back to 3 as the turbo leveled off. My Mechanic has worked on this for the subsequent 2 days but can't fix it. Any ideas as to the cure for this wierdness. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
