C 230 Vibrates At Idle

HELLO ALL, THIS IS MY FIRST POST TO SITE!

I have a 1998 C 230 with 101, 000 miles on it.

After startup and driving for 5-10 minutes when I drive no problems but when at idle in drive and stopped it will shake for 2 seconds but not turn off. It wont do it after that at all until after cold start. Doesn't matter outside temp. no check engine light. Sometimes rough idle in park. No problems at all accelerating to 100 mph.

WHAT CAUSES THIS. Throtle body what symptoms from this, MASS AIR SENSOR NEEDS cleaning replacing? WHAT symptoms if maf sensor goes out?

SPARK PLUGS CHANGED 7 MONTHS AGO WITH FUEL FILTER.

Ideas would be appreciated!

Sounds like the normal air pump self test. This has been discussed before, you might try searching. Anyway, it turns on the pump for about a second and if the engine stumbles then it knows the pump is working.

Typically the CEL goes on and you get codes like P0170 I believe. There is lots of info on this. Just do a search. However, if all you have is a stumble once a day for 1 second when you come to a stop then that is normal.
