Hi,

I will assume it is the same as my 98. First you need to pry the cover off of the big handle that you pull the door closed with. Mercedes specifies a plastic wedge tool for this job but I took a paint stir stick and sharpened the end into a wedge and used that. The main idea is to not damage the vinyl on the handle. Anyway, I pried mine from the top. It actually snaps off pretty easy. Then remove the 2 big screws that are revealed under that.

Then you remove the little trim piece by the latch on the edge of the panel.

Then you pop all the little snap attachments around the sides and bottom of the panel (around 8 as I recall)

Then lift it up off of the top edge. You will need to disconnect a couple of things behind to completely remove it, like the window switch wire and the latch rod.

This is from memory doing it in July.
