C320 rear side airbags- infant danger
We have an '02 C320 with rear air bags. We are getting ready to have twins in about a month and need to know how to deactivate them. Obviously, the option for sticking a child in the middle of the back seat is not an option with two kids on board. We are very worried about having a "fender bender" accident going less than 20 mph and the airbags in the rear being deployed. Would the airbags on the rear side be considered dangerous in that effect for toddlers (in rear-facing seats)? And if so, how would I go about getting them turned off? Lastly, are the independent of the air bags int he front (i.e. can you turn one set off and leave the others on?). Thank you

Congrats on the new additions to your family!! You are about to be VERY busy
I don't believe you have anything to worry about. Your child seats should provide adequate protection for your children... 50 years ago there were no air bags, and somehow we are all still here--please don't let the wife freak you out Best of luck to you... -GH
