E320 wobble

I've been driving my '99 E320 (140k) for a few months now and there is a "wobble" apparent as I accelerate at low speeds, especially when it is cold. It feels like the car wobbles side-to-side. It disappears as the speed increases.
I haven't put it up on the lift yet but suspect one of the following items. Can anyone confirm one?

Suspension bushings (original and showing signs of wear when purchased)
motor mounts (just guessing)
driveshaft (i would think it would get worse as the speed increases)
tires (out of balance?, they are on their last tread)

Aside from this , the car is a dream to drive on the highway (I have to cruise the length of GA about twice-a-month), it gets excellent mileage (if I can keep it under 75 mph). It just doesn't have the silky-smooth quiet ride my old 300TE did. But that isn't really a negative when you continue reading...

I am considering upgrading the suspension to AMG standards so this might be the time to do it if the suspension is the culprit.
Any suggestions as far as parts sourcing, package deals, etc. for the upgrade?
