I have the engine out of my 72 350 SLC for a rebuild. I need to remove the AC Compressor before sending the engine for a rebuild. There seems to be a plate that the compressor is attached to with two bolts holding it to the block on the frontside of the engine. There also are 4 bolts in a square behind the clutch.
This is all that I can see that seems to be holding the compressor on. The 4 bolts behind the clutch, to me, do not look like they hold the compressor to the block. What gives? At least, what will give in order for me to remove the compressor? Thanks, Steve |
