87 560SL
right rear brake was leaking, changed the seals around the caliper, put everything back together can't get any pressure, bled the fronts and fliud flowed beautifully, bleeding the rears and no fluid, what am I doing wrong???? Thanks kchemers |
Make sure the front and rear of the brake res is full.

its full!!

Make sure the right & left calipers are on their respective sides. They can be mounted incorrectly.

never changed them, brakes were working fine before I changed the seals on the pistons, only had to work on the right rear never touched the left rear except to bleed them
|
Is the bleeder on the top of the caliper?

Yes Tom you were right with your first post, the rear res was empty didnt realize it until I over filled the front and say the air bubbles and then noticed the fluid would slowly go down. Used my mighty vac and in 5 minutes I had brakes. You learn something new every day
Thanks for the help!!! Kchemers |
It is a very common thing to miss. It is hard to see the rear compartment at first glance. Glad it was a simple fix for you.
